Quidditch fail

"You know when you put this broom between your legs, you are flying, and you are playing Quidditch"

The other day I stumbled across a newspaper article (I don't remember where or when) and read about schools in the OO ESS OF AYE playing real life (real life) Quidditch. This mildly surprised me when I was reading it, and it wasn't until about 20minutes ago that the implications of the article actually dawned on me.
This could have been for one of a few reasons
1) Nothing, absolutely nothing, that humans undertake or perform can really surprise me any more.
2) One part of me refused to believe that anything other than real life D&D would ever be performed
and
3) My attention span, a problem during school, is still very much a problem.

For those of you not familiar with 'Quidditch' it's the sport that the witchez and wizards get down to in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter. I won't get into the actual rules and details of the game, but it's sort of a cross between hockey, netball and footo...on broom sticks. Oh, and if you're the seeker, the witchez will froth.

I'm still not entirely sure what I think about the whole idea of it, one part of me is screaming that it's an over the top display of nerdism obsession with a fantasy (which I admit I am partial to), much like learning the Klingon language but completely unlike Jediism... (http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/ for more details) that should be nipped in the bud because it is COMPLETELY ridiculous. Another part of me however is trying to be open minded...what harm can it do
Anyway, enough from me...

Peace n love
